Chester is one of England’s most beautiful historic cities, situated in the county of Cheshire in the north west of the country. The Roman Amphitheatre and walls feature ancient towers, gates and add to the traditional atmosphere of this ancient city. It is compact and easy to get around on foot whilst taking your time to admire the historic architecture. It also has various medieval and black-and-white Victorian buildings including the famous Chester ‘Rows’ - medieval walkways that form two-level rows of shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Just 10 miles from the city centre, there is the UK’s largest outlet designer shopping village. Chester is well linked to many major UK cities such as Manchester, Liverpool and London.
The Plus centre is located at the main campus of the University of Chester. It is spread across 13 hectares of grassland. It has a mixture of Victorian buildings such as The Old College, which includes an old chapel built by some of the former students, and modern buildings. Green spaces and beautifully kept gardens at the heart of the campus provide a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. The campus also features excellent sporting facilities, a swimming pool, a bar and various shops. The city centre is around 15-20 minutes’ walk away.
