Stirling is a small city located in central Scotland. It is dominated by a fabulous castle – one of the most important buildings in Scottish history. The PLUS centre is very close to the Old Town which features a mixture of old and new housing, cobbled streets, narrow alleys and historic buildings. The modern town centre offers a lively shopping area, an art gallery and a great selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes. The area is also famous for the Wallace Monument, a stunning memorial to one of the Scottish heroes and once an inspiration to the famous Hollywood blockbuster ‘Braveheart’. Stirling is an ideal base to explore the many outdoor activities central Scotland has to offer. It is a compact city easy to explore on foot. It is well connected to the rest of the country by road and rail.
