DESTINATIONS

The Plus Center is located in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles. Known as the jewel of San Fernando Valley, Northridge is a leafy, residential suburb with good access to the surrounding countryside and the city center. The main street through the town is located just a 20-minute walk from the campus and has a pharmacy, food stores and restaurants. There are 10 different bus lines from the campus so it is easy to get around by public transport. The campus is about 30-minute drive to Beverly Hills and Hollywood. It is secured by local police service and is so picturesque that it is the site of frequent Hollywood filming.
The Campus is the largest campus in the California State University system and is one of the largest and well-known universities in the Los Angeles region. It is a sprawling campus with sport fields, state of the art buildings, gardens, and a housing village.

They are picked because of the care and comfort they can offer to students who may be travelling overseas for the first time. Choosing to stay in home stay is the right option for those who want to experience real life living in that country: it will give a student the opportunity to use English in a real environment and integrate with the family. Home stay is often the first choice for slightly older students.

Mini Stay programme
PLUS USA mini stay programmes are designed for students to maximise their communicative competence in English while learning about the culture and history of the country they are visiting.

Through specifically designed excursion lessons students learn outside the classroom. Students are encouraged to engage with their environment in a completely submersive English experience through the exploration of a variety of interesting and exciting locations.

Students learn through tasks and communicative exercises which promotes confidence and fluency in the language while exposing them to real-life English outside the classroom.

Mini-stay programmes operate throughout the year and are designed for those students who want to maximise their speaking and listening skills over a short period of time while visiting iconic locations.
