Teachers are normally required to have a CELTA or equivalent, and Course Directors a DELTA or equivalent.
Welfare Officers are required to have valid up-to-date First Aid Certificate.
All interviews are conducted online.
There will be 2 interviews. Depending on the role, the first one may be a one-way pre-recorded video interview on Sparkhire. The second interview will be live an online interview on Teams.
We have one centre in Ireland and 12+ centres across England and Scotland. You can view all centres available on this page.
We will ask for your 2 preferred centres and confirm your final availability during a second-stage interview. We will try our best to accommodate everyone’s preferences, but it may not be always possible.
Each centre runs on different dates between mid-June and mid-August from 2 to 8 weeks.

Depending on the role, staff will be expected to arrive a few days before arrivals.
This varies by position, although we normally prefer to work with staff that are available for the duration of the programme at their centre.
Activity Leaders and Teachers must be available for a minimum of 2 weeks.
All managerial roles must be available for the entire duration of their programme, including a few days before group arrivals.
You can work at a different centre after your contract finishes at your first one if we have vacancies to fill. Please note that PLUS does not cover transportation or meal costs for travel between centres.
Full board accommodation is offered to all residential staff members, including 3 meals per day.
In some cases, campuses are not able to provide catering before group arrivals. In this cases, PLUS will not be able to arrange meals or provide vouchers or reimbursements.
PLUS will not reimburse any meals unless explicitly agreed with a staff member in writing.
Non-residential staff need to arrange their own meals.
Campuses can cater to all common allergies and dietary requirements.
Residential means you will live on the campus for the whole duration of your employment. Accommodation is arranged by PLUS.
Teachers and Activity Leaders can choose to be residential or non-residential.
All other roles are required to be residential.
You may be able to change you status, however this needs to be discussed and approved, in writing, by our recruitment team. This is to ensure that there is room availability and to discuss any salary changes with you.
If you have a residential position, you can leave the campus on your day off. You are not allowed to bring anyone to the campus at any time.
You will be accommodated in a single room in shared student accommodation at either a university campus or a boarding school. We try to allocate ensuite rooms to staff but this is not always possible, hence in some cases bathrooms may be shared.
Boarding Schools – please note that our London Epsom and Bath centres are boarding schools and bedrooms are not lockable.
No, but our team will do their best to assign the most suitable rooms to staff considering accommodation available, building layouts, and client requirements.
All centres provide bedding, but some do not provide towels. You will be able to access a centre fact sheet with information about your centre before your start day.
Some campuses may offer you free parking, but it is your responsibility to get in touch with the centre and arrange this with them. PLUS cannot help making arrangements for parking.
If we have new vacancies at the centre, we may be able to extend your contract. Potentially, we may also offer you a position at another centre.
We do not cover transportation costs at the beginning or end of your contract, regardless of your role. This includes also transportation between centres if you decide to work at a new centre.
Yes, everyone will receive an induction before starting to work. Induction attendance is compulsory.
Course Directors, Campus Managers, and Activity Managers are required to attend an in-person induction weekend in June, held in or near London. PLUS will cover accommodation, meals, and related expenses.
Welfare Officers will be required to attend an online induction in June.
Teachers and Activity Leaders will receive an induction on the first day of work at the campus by their line manager.
You are not allowed to take a holiday during your placement due to the nature of the work.
